Buying and selling safely
Tislem connects buyers and sellers. Handover and payment happen between you, in person. A few simple habits keep you safe.
If you are buying
- Meet in a public place with people around, during the day if you can.
- Inspect the item and switch it on before paying; test electronics fully.
- Never send money or a deposit before seeing the item in person.
- If a price is far below reasonable, something is usually wrong.
If you are selling
- Choose a public handover spot and tell a family member where you are going.
- Check the money at handover, and do not hand over the item before you receive it.
- Never share personal details or account information with anyone.
Items that may not be listed
Listings containing these will be removed:
- Weapons, ammunition and explosives
- Drugs, medicines and medical supplements
- Counterfeit or forged products
- Stolen goods or items of unknown origin
- Live animals
- Official documents, IDs and cards
- Adult content or services
